Our approach
Ruby is built with privacy in mind. We identify companies, not individuals. Our technology matches IP addresses to known company IP ranges — we don't track, fingerprint, or identify individual people.
What we collect
For website visitors (your site's visitors):
- IP address (used only for company matching, then discarded)
- Pages visited (aggregated at company level)
- Timestamps (to show visit patterns)
What we don't collect:
- Personal names or email addresses
- Cookies for individual tracking
- Device fingerprints
- Any personal data under GDPR definition
GDPR compliance
Ruby is designed for EU companies and complies with GDPR requirements:
- We process company-level data only, which falls outside personal data scope
- IP addresses are used transiently for matching and not stored
- No consent banner required for company identification
- Data is stored in EU-based infrastructure
For Ruby customers
When you sign up for Ruby, we collect:
- Your work email and name
- Company information
- Billing details (processed by Stripe)
We use this data to provide our service and communicate with you. You can request deletion at any time.
Data retention
- Company visit data: retained according to your plan (30 days to 1 year)
- Customer account data: retained while you're a customer, deleted upon request
- IP addresses: not stored after company matching
Security
We take security seriously:
- All data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Infrastructure hosted in EU data centers
- Regular security audits
- Access controls and logging
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Request correction or deletion
- Export your data
- Object to processing
